St Mary’s CE Primary School is seeking a dynamic and professional Deputy Headteacher (non classed base) who is an outstanding practitioner, ready to influence whole‑school improvement and a proven ability to analyse data and use it to close learning gaps.
Key responsibilities:
Experience of:
● achieving high standards and relentless in securing strong outcomes for all children;
● Church school education
● Effectively leading/motivating children and staff and developing team approaches
● Improving outcomes for all children
● Experience of leading teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment across the school
● Experience of devising schemes of work
Knowledge of:
● Current national educational priorities, developments and strategies which meet the needs of all children
● Recent legislation, developments and initiatives in primary education
● The latest developments in safeguarding and child protection
● Understanding schools’ statutory responsibilities regarding the needs and care of students with SEND
● Understanding of data analysis
● Ability to analyse and present data effectively including progress and behaviour information
● Ability to lead, manage and prioritise effectively
● Ability to establish a positive ethos with an accent on high achievement for all
● Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing at all levels
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Ability to set clear expectations and parameters and to hold others to account for their performance
● Ability to lead, manage and prioritise effectively
A current driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust’s multiple sites and schools.
