Lead with Love, Inspire with Courage: Become the Headteacher of Witchampton & Pamphill First Schools.
Are you a passionate and dedicated leader seeking a unique opportunity to make a real difference? We are seeking an inspiring Headteacher to lead two thriving village schools: Witchampton C of E First School and Pamphill C of E First School, part of the Initio Learning Trust family of schools.
Witchampton C of E First School: Witchampton, a "Good" school in all areas (Ofsted, March 2023), offers a warm and welcoming environment. Our Ofsted report highlighted our "small school with a big heart – making a difference" ethos, reflecting the dedication of our staff and the wonderful spirit of our pupils. This is a chance to lead a small, rural village school where Christian values of Love, Courage, Inspiration, and Respect are central to everything we do. Building on our "excellent" church school inspection outcome (July 2019), which praised our culture of holistic care, you will nurture a learning community where every individual is valued and empowered to flourish – spiritually, emotionally, and academically. We champion an enriched and inclusive curriculum, fostering high expectations and ensuring all children, regardless of their needs or abilities, achieve their full potential.
Pamphill C of E First School: Pamphill, a “Good” school (Ofsted, September 2023), is an inclusive and welcoming school. Pupils embrace the values of ‘love’ and ‘courage’. The caring relationships between members of the school community mean that pupils feel safe and happy. Parents describe Pamphill as a school that encourages their children to ‘reach for the stars’. The school has high aspirations for pupils. It has worked hard to develop a curriculum to help pupils achieve well, and they do. The school uses its unique location to provide an array of memorable experiences that go beyond the classroom.
The “good” church school inspection (January 2023) states that ‘In living out its vision school leaders are determined that each pupil, and their family, is known well.’
The Opportunity: This joint headship presents an exciting challenge and a rare opportunity to shape the future of two vibrant learning communities. You will be responsible for leading both schools, fostering collaboration and shared vision while maintaining the unique character of each. This role requires a leader with strong strategic vision, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, pupils, and parents. A commitment to Christian values is essential. If you are a driven leader with a passion for education and a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of children, we invite you to apply. Join us in creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
